Home recording HELP!!! Lexicon Alpha

(Not sure which forum this goes in)

I'm such a home studio newb it's embarassing.

Anyone used the Lexicon Alpha or a similar Lexicon gear and how the heck do you get it to output to your PC speakers. I hate wearing headphones when playing and i don't want to have to get separate speakers for the monitor outputs on the device.

I find it hard to believe that i can't listen via the software on the PC that works in conjunction with the unit.

Re: Home recording HELP!!! Lexicon Alpha

Doesn't it have its own dedicated speaker outs? Or is that the problem, you don't want to use those, sorry for my confusion...

Re: Home recording HELP!!! Lexicon Alpha

Yes they do but i don't want to have to either: A) buy new powered speakers or B) keep plugging and unplugging from the unit to my sound card, etc, etc.

I guess this should have gone in tips and clips but ahh well.

BTW, that Behringer V-Amp Pro is pretty darn good for the price.

I have the V amp also. Haven't used it much, but plan on spending time with it soon.

The best way to get the sound IS to invest in a decent set of monitors. You can pickup a cheap pair of Maudio for under $100. They plug in to the lecicon or whatever pre you are using. Its not that big of a deal its just one cable to unplug from the computer.
