the pics are just a little ... uh, LARGE!!!

I don't hear anything coming out of that beautiful amp, though ... (hint, hint) :)

I suppose you already know if you use the humbuckers, it's probably better to use the #2 input ..

yours came out much neater than mine ... I had a he!luva time soldering neatly inside the chassis, and burned a few wires in the process :(

I am curious to hear it, though.

for some reason, I think the Heritage would sound great!

Wow Scott, I love the gold color of the 335 and the strat! Man those are some nice guitars there, and quite a nice amp as well. Boy I love that gold 335, its sooo sweet. Rock on man!

Very very nice work Scott. I've seen messier intestines on a few "assembly line" amps that have come my way. Keep up the work bro!

This is truly a guitar geek thread.. and very cool! That amp has some mojo.. nice job and choice of cabinet... love those guitars too.

I've always wanted to find the time to build one of those tweed amps. Someday...
You think the same way I do about guitars. One of each classic!
Or more!

Gear looks so beautiful lined up ready for pictures! I want
everything you got! LOL

Well, when I find the right Tele, I guess I'll have a Straight Flush.

Stratman, this is the one and only home built. I actually finished it a few weekends back, but finally got the cab and the speaker.

Must admit, it's the most fun I've had musically in a long time.

Looks cool Scott. I'm glad to see someone else here dived into a very cool hobby. So the true test to an amp build (besides the tone) is how much quiet it is. How did it turn out?

Did you go to a forum to get advice how to build it? If so which one?

I learned a ton about amps building my AX84 High Octain head. I run it in stereo with my Blues Junior using a Boss Chorus pedal (with the chorus off usually). Sounds killer. I added an octal socket and now I can run either an EL84 or KT66. Although I don't use the EL84 anymore.

BTW, I know a guy who makes the plastic laser cut face plates for these amps. I think like $17.

Joe
