My wife actually makes my nut sauce, but I wouldn't put it anywhere near my guitars...
...It's made from peanut butter, pecans, and spices from places I can't even pronounce, among other things.

It's similar, but it isn't Nut Sauce. As one of the youtube comments points out, Nut Sauce is fully synthetic and contains no petroleum products.
If you don't want to spend the ridiculous markup for Nut Sauce, go to your local hardware store and buy powdered teflon gel lubricant. It's literally the same thing, and costs about 1/10 as much.

I use pencil graphite, but I just got a tube of nut sauce.

What's wrong with just using 3-in-1? I put that on my nuts, and on my saddles. All seems fine. BTW, I'm talking SPARINGLY, I'm not pouring gallons of the stuff on there.

Homemade Nut Sauce For Guitars...
If your nut slots are cut correctly and polished you shouldn’t need any lube. If they are too tight, which can happen if you move to a heavier string gauge, the string can bind.
I use Tusq for nuts, but you can rub a pencil in the grooves as a lubricant, and make sure you stretch your strings when you put them on.

Yup. I just had this whole response typed up going into specifics... but I figured that the mods would appreciate it if I backspaced and left things up to the reader's imagination. LOL!!!
