Hot Rail Question

I'm looking into installing new SD pickups in my American Standard Strat. I heard that the Hot Rails are sensitive to finger movement on the strings. Is this true?

The hot rails is a high output pickup with one volume haha.. loud
Actually, it has a certain amount of sensitivity but not like a lower output pickup. I use my volume control a lot and the HR is pretty good about cleaning up with lower volumes, but it really is a rock pickup, suited for thrashy stuff.

It was the most sensitive, squeaky, noisy, wonderful pickup I've ever used.
