Re: Hot Rails for my Strat???
No, not necessarily. Not "too many opinions", just too many doubtful ones. DiMarzio was recommended so I did some research on a dozen models and read a lot of review and the Fast Track 2 and Air Norton S were two that seemed would fit the bill and got lots of excellent reviews.
I'm not set against the Hot Rails, but enough doubt has been planted that I'm not convinced it's the one I'm looking for.
If the Hot Rails is thick and rich with lots of mids, solid bass, and smooth but present highs, and can play clean, and split to be very chimey/single-coilish, then it's what I'm looking for.
Thae Fast Track 2 isn't quite as high output as the Hot Rails which seems good to me. But I've never played either, so I am totally relying on the experience and advice of others who have actually played them.
So you are going DiMarzio because there were too many opinions on the hot rails?
The HRs are very interesting and versatile, that's the explanation.
