Hot rails for strat

Help! I put a hot rail in the bridge position of my California strat (the other two pups are Tex Mex) and now I can't adjust my tone in the bridge position. I already replaced the tone pot but still nothing. In all other pickup positions both tone pots work fine. When I go all the way down to the bridge though I turn the pot and its just one tone. Anybody know what the hells going on?

Re: Hot rails for strat

The Strats I've owned did not have a tone control for the bridge pup.

Re: Hot rails for strat

That would explain it. Thanks for your help. I feel like an idiot!
Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas etc...

Lucky1,

It's easy to rewire the thing to get the tone to work on the bridge pickup, if that's what you want. Ask around here and I'm sure you'll get plenty of help with it.

Good luck,
Mark

You may even want to think about going volume,Volume, and Master Tone. I believe this is a great set up for hss strats. One volume for the bridge and one the single coils.
