Hot Rails, Strat, 250K Pots = Good

FWIW, just put a Hot Rails in the bridge of my Fernandes strat (Basswood, 62 specs, MIJ, maple neck).

Not a traditional strat guy really, but had time today to mess around. Didn't change a thing except the pickup....

I like it. Was looking for something ballsy, 70's-80's hard rock metal. Very impressed, reminds me of the older days when you stuck a Super Distortion in your Les Paul into a non-MV cranked Marshall -- chunk, compression, and balls.

Also FWIW, I don't care how it balances with the other pups in the guitar (it doesn't), or how it splits, or 500K pots, how it compares to a JB or lil 59, etc.

That's about it.... not sure if anyone cares or if its been covered before, but if you're looking for that heavy dose of heavy in your strat, I'd say this is a good way to get it.
