Hot Rails vs Lil Screamin Demon

I've got a swamp ash, hardtail Carvin Bolt that I'm swapping pickups in. I had a set of three JB Jr's in it, which sounded decent but was a little bit lacking. I'm going with a Hot Rail in the Bridge, a Classic Stack in the Middle, and I'm unsure of what is going in the neck. I have both a Hot Rails neck and a Lil Screamin Demon neck. I'm quite familiar with the Hot Rails neck as I usually put one in the neck of every HSS guitar I have, but I've never used the Lil Screamin Demon. Is there any reason I shouldn't put the Demon in the neck?

If it were up to me, I'd put Vintage Rails in the middle and Cool Rails in the neck to get a good sounding / good looking set up like this:

I have the Little Screamin' Demon neck, it sounds good for a SC sized humbucker, but IMO they're all a little too smooth. I use them for Jazz / mellow playing rather than rock. I prefer high output true single coils for rock.

If I were buying the pickups and didn't have them already, I'd probably buy a Cool Rails but I already have the Hot Rails and Demon. My only concern about the Demon would be that it would sound more like the Lil 59 which I was not a fan of rather than the Hot/Cool Rails which I really like.

Lil screamin demon will sound cleaner than lil 59. Should be great for neck slot.

Lil screamin demon will sound cleaner than lil 59. Should be great for neck slot.

I really like the lil demon I have in the neck of my LTD strat. I agree that it is cleaner than the 59.

Cleaner than the lil 59? I'm about to purchased a pre-owned neck model, but I'm hesitant after reading some negative comments. Any one has a sound clip of honest comments on the demon on neck position (without splitting)?
