Hot Rod Deluxe modifications

Does anybody know an internet site to find some mods or how to do some mods themselves? I also would be willing to send it somewhere if that's applicable. Thanks in advance!

More responsive tone controls are needed and possibly gain mods. The tone controls seem to not alter the sound much at all, which is not what I'm used to having owned a mesa before this!
