Hot Rodded Humbucker ,is there a way to use a 5 blade switch to split them

Hi
I want to order the Hot Rodded Humbucker Set and i would love to order the Petrucci Duncan set but can't find on the site

both are Humbucker that could be split

I have 2 volumes pots 500k and 1 tone pot 500k

I don't like so much installing and have tone pot push/pull

can't find a Duncan 5 switch blade wiring diagram

Is there a way to install the Hot Rodded Humbucker Set or the Petrucci Duncan Set with a 5 switch blade with the possibility to split without a push/pul pot?

thanks

On the site there is the wiring without tone pot push/pull , i have found this

and on the site i have found this with the push /pull pot

You can do auto split of the pups, but you need a "super switch" which is like two 5-way switches put together. Here is a diagram:

https://www.seymourduncan.com/images..._S5W_1V_1T.jpg

Position 1 = bridge pup in series (humbucker) mode
Position 2 = bridge split to slug coil
Position 3 = bridge (humbucker) in parallel with neck (humbucker)
Position 4 = neck pup split to slug coil
Position 5 = neck pup (humbucker)

I couldn't find a diagram with 2 volumes, but you'd just wire the vol pots the same as in your first diagram, everything else is like the diagram I posted.

You can do a version with just a standard 5-way, but I much prefer the superswitch setup as GuitarDoc has posted above.

With a standard 5-way it ends up being some variation of:
Bridge Series
Bridge Series with Neck series
Neck Series
Neck Series with Bridge Split
Bridge Split

Not very intuitive to use and not as useful as the arrangement above.

Hi GuitarDoc
may I ask you 2 questions ?
1) where have you found the diagram ?
just because i have searched a lot in the Duncan site but without finding it

2) a
"super switch" which is like two 5-way switches put together
could be a Oak Grigsby 5-Way Switch or Oak Grigsby 6-Way Switch or CRL 5-Way Super Switch ?
they are mostly used for strat guitars , mine swtich is like the Ibanez RG or ESP M-II FR

thanks GuitarDoc

Hi PFDarkside
but might you please tell me some example of superswitch brands easy to find in Europe ?
about switch I know CRL and Oak Gribsby , I don't know if they are superswitch
thanks

I’ve used the Fender branded one, I’m not sure if that ones Oak Grigsby or CRL.

Fender 5-Position Strat/Tele Super Switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JCM33Q/

https://www.stewmac.com/electronics/...er-switch.html

Sorry I don’t have a source in Europe. Schaller does the Megaswitches, Model M and Model E and Mode P can do cool options with an HH setup.

Hi PFDarkside
I got it , I mean i understand what do you mean for super switch
well it's easy to find them here , like Schaller

by the way I guess do you prefer more a push push pot to split than a superswitch , don't you?
thanks , appreciate it

A matter of preference. Some people like push-push switches, some like push-pull, some like auto switching in the selector switch. I've got guitars with both setups. I also have a couple guitars with the Mincer Do-It-All switching that I really like.
