Re: How are the Duncan distortions
I put a Distortion in the bridge of my Les Paul Studio and, with 50's wiring and the tone rolled down to 6 (yes 6), it did the best Led Zeppelin IV sound (Black Dog, Rock and Roll) I've ever heard out of any of my guitars. Sorry, that's all I've got. Don't have other extensive experience with the Distortion. It's just a Ceramic JB. Slighty hotter and brighter. IME has a thick buzzy/fuzzy tone when on the edge of Marshall break up, which is a good thing. Mine is an older one, though. A DDJ.
