Re: How are the Seth Lover's and Antiquities with pedals and overdrive?
I Seths in an LP Classic and a Supreme, and Ants in another LP Classic. I use Mesa Boogie amps. I play classic rock, blues, country, jazz and pop in a G/B/K/D cover band. I make the Boogies sing, but I typically don't use metal gain levels, nor are we playing really loud.
I also use a slight amount of boost from a DOD FX preamp pedal on my board, and a Boss compressor for a bit of limiting. I use the Boogies' gain channel(s) for crunch and solos--rarely do I use a pedal for gain.
The very few times I have gotten feedback it has been controllable and musical. These pickups are just so organic they're a joy to play.
I'm sure the Custom Shop can do light potting on these, or consider '59s, Pearlys, or the WLH sets.
Good luck.
