Well i have been thinking of getting another seymour duncan pickup for my guitar but i just saw that mojotone has some pickups that might be worth considering instead. Pickups like the "Level head", "Black Magic", and "Sledgehammer" all interest me in trying them out. What i want to know is if anyone else has had experience with these pickups or any other by mojotone? I have been looking for a pickup that is very similar to a Seymour Duncan distortion but with a little less fizz.
here's the links to the pickups

Never heard or tried them. Duncan does all I need, so I stuck with them. With those prices,I think they really need something special, and probably some artist endorsements. Over $90 for a bucker that doesn't have anything really special that I can see is a bit much.

I don't know how their pickups sound, but there are people on this forum who build pickups professionally and procure parts from Mojotone. I own a set made by one of those builders and they're incredible pickups. I have used some of Mojotone's products in the past, including a couple of their speakers. Their speakers are really good. It's probably worth a shot.

I'd call up the SD custom shop to see if they could accommodate. It will probably cost significantly more but in the end worth it. Might be a shop floor custom option would accomplish the OP's wants.

I believe all the Mojotone pups are using butyrate so that's going to automatically make them more expensive. I can see why they are in the Seth range....but I mean c'mon it's only 10 bucks more than non-butyrate SDs.
