How can I fatten up my Tele?

I've got an old 60's Tele, which has an inherently thin trebly tone. I'm using a Jerry Donahue pickup now. Any suggestions on a warmer pickup?

try the telecaster ants, or the broadcaster. Contact Lew, he just made a post about this awhile ago. Or if you're wanting to go all out warm, try the '59 or Hotrail.

You could also try out the SD pickup booster, which is made just to give low output single coil guitars a fatter sound.

I personally reccomend against the hotrails if you want your guitar to sound like a tele at all. The hotrails are extreme in every way, super high output (will easily distort your clean channel on low volumes), super crunch and great for metal, but not for anything resembling a single coil tone. It will also totally dwarf your neck single coil in terms of output.

What type of stuff do you play?

I like juiced up Tele pups - a Quarter Pounder being my fav. I like the tapped version as I can choose between full output ~17k or tapped output ~8k for a more vintage like sound.
