How do you measuring a Humbuckers DC Resistance?
Question #591 of Seymour Duncan FAQ says that I need an analog or digital multimeter. It doesn't say where the red and black leads from my multimeter are to touch the pick-up to get the DC resistance.
I want to read the DC Resistance from a old Gibson Dirty Fingers pick-up. The pick-up has an outer braided wire (Ground) and inner wire (hot).

Put the red terminal on the inner, black wire from the pickup. Put the black terminal on the outer, braided wire. Set the meter for Ohms.

It doesn't which probe you put on which lead, you get the same reading because it's measuring DC resistance which is the same from one end as it is from the other.

and you pretty much want to do this with the pickup not soldered to anything else

True, and if you do measure it in the guitar, add about 0.2k to whatever the meter says, 0.3 to 0.4 if it's a high output (+/-14k) pickup.
