How do I add a preamp input?

I have a Traynor YBA-1, and I'd like to add a preamp input. I want the option of bypassing the amp's preamp and using a my Peavey Rock Master rack preamp to drive the power section of the YBA-1. I could remove the ground switch on the back of the amp to add an input jack. How do I wire up the circuit to do this?

I looked at various amp schematics, and the one that seemed most straightforward was the Fender Prosonic. Still, I don't want to dive into making a daughterboard of components if I don't truly know that it will work right/not cause problems with the amp.

I'm having a tech add a preamp-in to an old tube amp as we speak! It already had an RCA input, he's just going to change it to a 1/4" jack and move it to a better location.
