I can never find the appropriate way to link such that when you click on the link it just launches the player with the song playing.

I can only get links to the song's page, where the user must then select lo-fi, hi-fi, or mp3.

I think you just go to your band administration, get to your songs page, click on the title of the song, which is a link, then copy the URL and you can do one of those "insert links" on a message board if you wanted to hot-link it with like one or two words or the song title or whatever. actually, SD doesn't have that option of adding the link title, but it's basically song title goes here[BACKSLASHurl]

like so:

if you don't want to do that, there's a new embedded player thingy which is called "linking tool" also on your band administration page somewhere. you just click on it, select the song, and it generates a hella long thing you're supposed to be able to copy and paste - works on myspace, I can't get it to work in a thread like this though.
