How do I wire black winters into a GIO Ibanez GRG170, HSH w/ 5-way??

I recently picked up (get it?) a set of black winters as a birthday present for a friend of mine, to put in a relatively low-end GIO Ibanez. I'm something of an amateur tech and have a little bit of experience in changing pups (i had actually swapped out the god-awful stock pups from this very guitar several years ago when it belonged to my brother, but i never thought i would be changing them again.) but the wiring diagram that came with the set doesn't account for an HSH configuration nor for a 5-way switch and i really don't want to have to bring this to guitar center, as i already spent $200 on the pups themselves and really don't need to spend another $50. The guitar itself is a GIO Ibanez GRG170DX with an HSH configuration and a 5-way selector switch, master volume and master tone.

assuming these pictures uploaded in order, the first 3 are the initial layout, before i began work (this time) and the last two are whats left after i disconnected the bridge and neck pups

If you are proposing a HH pickup layout, you need a different selector switch. It is possible to purchase three-way selector switches of similar excellence to the stock CorTek dogbreath offering or you could upgrade to something Japanese or American.

A simple three-way switch would offer Neck/Both/Bridge pickups. Some of the specialised OTAX models used in upmarket Ibanez guitars will permit five usable sounds.

Check out guitar wiring dot com for the HSH config. I use guitarwiring.com EVERY time I lose the wiring diagrams. Best of all, the diagrams are FREE!!! Also, the have the color codes for just about every brand of pup so if you're using different pups in the same guitar, chances are they will have the north/south, also for push pulltaps/phase switching. Great site.

Also (shameless plug, but I need to get some copies of my EP SOLD!!!) check out www.aladams.bandcamp.com and give my instrumental EP a listen.

Have a great day, and good luck with the new pups. I'm sure you'll love them. They are BRUTAL!!!

I still have the single in the middle and I'm not really looking to take it out as its not my guitar and for whatever reason my boy seems to like it so I need instructions for an HSH config. idk why they don't account for it on the stock diagram
