How do I wire this pickup situation.

So I'm getting ready to wire my new DiMarzio x2n. Someone on here suggested I wire it up to switch between series and parallel and I'm curious about this idea.

I have the simplest guitar ever: Only one bridge humbucker and one knob. The knob is the volume control but is a push button switch. I believe the original wiring was to switch to a single coil (which I never use). Anyone have a schematic for this (remember, the pot is the volume)? Also, I think I need to get a new push pull pot. Any advice on that?

This is the one, but you have to be sure of the color code, it's different for Dimarzio.
