In my board now is my Boss bluesdriver and Seymour Duncan pickup booster in front of the amp. They give different flavours of sound, more compression from the bluesdriver + the added flavour the OD gives. I may move the Pickup Booster to the FX loop if volume becomes an issue, but at full volume jams, either allows me to cut through just in front of the amp.
