I use a G5 iMac and a Metric Halo ULN-2 firewire interface, with Logic Express 7.2 as the host software. I use a software drum program called Addictive Drums, which is stunning, and I mic my guitar amps and run them through a handmade all tube preamp and compressor made by a New Zealander named Greg Brice. The preamps in the Metric Halo are beautiful too, so it allows for a couple of different options for the all important source signal.
