Re: How do you transport your amp?

I unsolder all the components and put them in a bucket. I unbolt the transformers and put them in another bucket. I put my tools and soldering iron into a third bucket.

If the gig is a long way away, I mail all the parts to the gig. If the gig is close, i put the buckets in my car and drive to the gig, where i reassemble the amp. After the gig, i dismantle the amp again, put the parts in the buckets and go home.

It makes everything so much lighter and easier to carry.

I carry my 1x12 cab with both arms and the Tweaker goes inside my backpack.

Pretty easy to move around. :)

Re: How do you transport your amp?

I kinda lied. I voted the "carry, but it's heavy", but I was actually referring to my old guitar rig. Right now, everything that we use for live shows can be carried in like a small suitcase (which is helpful, because Carolyn is TINY). I plug straight into the system, so there's no real "amp" so to speak.
