How does the Invader sound/feel compared to a DM Tone Zone or Super 3?

Putting together another guitar. Maple/rosewood 24.75" bolt-on neck, alder Telecaster body, wraparound bridge, and full-size humbucker pickup.

I've dry assembled it and so far it has a really oddly thin, honking sound to my ears. Fantastic clarity but too week for single notes. I'm comparing it to a similar guitar I built from scratch. Right now the telegib has a Carvin C22B in it, just because that's what I had laying around. The other guitar has a Dimarzio Super 3 humbucker in the bridge position, and I also had a Tone Zone in it at one point. I am thinking about one of those two pickups for this guitar as well, but I'm curious about the Invader.

Is the Invader as thick in the lows and low-mids as those two pickups? How would you compare the sound and feel to either a Tone Zone or a Super 3? Especially in terms of total output, smooth vs. harsh highs, full bottom end, and single-note tone. (6-string, standard E tuning, classic rock/punk style, crunchy amp.)

No one has tried an Invader bridge humbucker AND a Tone Zone or Super 3? How about a regular Super Distortion humbucker, then?

I've tried an Invader. Didn't really care for it, although other players obviously do. It was just too thick for my preferences.

I also have a few Super 3 pups. https://www.facebook.com/darthphineas/posts/760655914030393 Although I'd read it is dark and heavy, that's not how I find it to be. Much more usable and versatile than expected.

I've played all three, from what you're saying it might be a good guitar to try the PATB Distortion. I've used that in the same way I've used the Super 3.

I will take a closer look at the patb distortion - somehow I missed that one.
Thank you both.

Is the Black Winter in the same ballpark? The description sounds similar and video clips don't help much.

I don't think it is anything like it either.
