How good are the guitar cables that come with Fender American guitars?

I have acquired about 13 of these black and grey Fender cables over the years and I'm not sure if they're worth putting in my signal chain. Are they better than average or like the cheap Monster cable they sell at Guitar Center?

I don't know. What do your ears tell you? Try them.

I can't imagine they'd be as good as say, Mogami, but they're probably decent at worst.

The only Fender brand cable I've owned was a patch cable, but it seemed to be pretty good quality.

They're OK. Mine doesn't have noise issues and it seems like it's not a "tone-sucker". Doesn't look like it's gonna come apart.

wait, black and grey? The one I got is just black. We may not be discussing the same cable.

The one I got with a MIM guitar said "electro-volt" or something on it and that one was kinda shoddy.

I've got one, and it's very respectable. It's nice and flexible, has a braided jacket (big plus), sounds good, and has never cut out.

I also have an aftermarket Vintage Voltage that's very similar, and a Platinum 20' that's kind of crazy to deal with because of the solid conductors, but it's built extremely well and sounds great.

I have some grey ones that came with artist model Fender Strats, and some black ones that come with the American strats. The grey ones, for some reason, seem to get stuck in the input jacks of amps and pedals.

how stuck? this sounds like it would be a good thing to me.

I used a Fender cable from an Am Std for about 2 years. They aren't the most amazing cables but they are pretty decent.

I've used those transparent red or blue ones. they worked great.

Probably not top of the line, but probably not total crap, either. Try 'em. If you like the way they sound, then they're good.
