My little brother has an Ibanez TBX150H head. He broke the input jack on it (snapped it off ) so he brought it over to see if i could fix it for him.

How does this thing come apart? I cant figure it out i take the screws out of the face plate but nothing?

anyone?

Dude, if you can't figure out how to take it apart then I really don't think you should go screwing around inside it. There's some dangerous voltages in those caps in there. Take it to a tech. For a simple little problem like that, it shouldn't be that pricey. Plus you won't die.

Don't listen to this pussy.

Poke around in it with a crowbar from a safe distance.

its not a matter of taking it apart i found. Ibanez glues the SHIZIT out of these things. I got a closer look at it and all the screws were out of the tray but it wouldnt budge. Then i noticed a bunch of hard glue that was applied. I ran a hair dryer along it and it popped right out.

What a pain in the Azz!!! anywho i got the new jack in it and shes fine.

Probably chassis screws underneath.

If there's any screws on the bottom, they're probably it. If not, take off the front and back plate, and see if they're on top.

The hardest amp I've ever taken apart was my Gibson Goldtone AD30RVS. You literally have to assemble and disassemble the amp in one way or it won't work. It's like a puzzle.

Re: How in the world does this come apart?

Most good amp techs don't have the time to waste struggling with removing stubborn chasis from the woodwork so they simply burn the woodwork away with a flame torch. To avoid damaging the amp, they usually throw a bucket of water over it as soon as the wood has burnt away.

Fire is your friend.
