How is the Tech21 Sansamp GT2? Demonizer/Womanizer?

better than a damage control demonizer/womanizer? I would like thoughts on these pedals if possible.

i can only tell you about the sansamp. the gt2 is cool, but not as good as the classic. the classic is awesome and probably the best they make, IMO. the gt2 is like a more modern version, but i don't think it sounds as good.

I own a Womanizer and a Behringer combo that has the Sansamp copy biult-in. The Womanizer is one of the best pedals (preamps) that I've tried. The sound is just perfect from clean to medium-gain overdriven (Marshall gain level). The Behringer sounds good on Fender and Mesa type sounds (it has more gain), but it's definitely solid-state. Dead quiet though even with the gain dimmed.

I have a GT2 around...

Can't say I like it much for guitar, midrange is "weird" to me... going through an amp anyway.

I'm always putting drums & keyboards through it & digging that application. It's "ok" for guitar DI stuff...

I've always been wondering about the SansAmp Classic; the functions and the price are not too different from the ToneLab.
