I just pick it up when I've got some free time.. probably averages out to an hour a day monday-thursday. Friday and Saturday is band practice, so about 4 hours a day then. I also get to play the new stuff that comes in at work, so add another 1/2 an hour per day for trying out new gear :13:

on average about an hour or two everyday during the school year, and 2 or 3 during summer. but i almost never miss a day. ever. even when im on vacation i can usually find a guitar somewhere.

This sounds so like me when I was young. With the exception that I didn't play from 3 till bedtime. I made noise for a few hours a day. So my hat is off to you for making the most of your time and having the gonads to make guitar your life's pursuit.

I picked it up again about 4 years ago, and I average 45 mins to an hour a day.

Final year of a hard uni degree doesnt allow for much more than a couple of hours a night, but i try and stretch that out as much as i can. I can also stay up late and practice with my pod and headphones if i want, and i just play unamplified scales and the like till all hours of the morning sometimes because otherwise ill wake my family.

I should spend less time on this computer and more time playing guitar!

I rarely get chance to even pick up a guitar from day to day at the moment, let alone follow any kind of structured practice. I can string up my guitars and the strings need changing again before I play them (my brother plays guitar too - even using fast fret we destroy strings quite quickly). I don't really play at the weekend either, since I usually end up driving over to my girlfriend's and staying (though I have decided to take a guitar and practice amp with me from now on).

On the plus side, I seem to be fortunate in that I return to the guitar feeling inspired and playing better than when i left it as a consequence :dance:

this sounds like me.... try to get a couple hours in each day... some days don't get to it, at present getting there because I stopped smoking 2 wks ago and gotta keep myself otherwise occupied....

i just practice at least 3 hours yesterday.

but sometimes i have come up to 8 hours without stop! ^^

religiously 6-7 hours a day, about 12 hours a day over the weekend. fr the last year. i have no life, i live on guitar. i have no friends!!
but im quite good!!
