How Long does it Take You to Really Break in a New Set of Power Tubes?

Break-in power tubes ? Another scam I guess...

Most tubes are already "Burned In" when they are sold. I can't remember how many hours this is done for, and I think it varies from pre's to power tubes, but you should be good to go right out of the box.

When you first put them in, they're as 'punchy' as they'll ever be. I think what you're referring to is tubes that have about a month of playtime on them sounding burned in, or less edgy. It's a fair assessment to say they'd have a more organic tone, after they've been used for a few weeks....maybe the brittleness rolled off a bit.
I'll never understand why a person would leave the same power tubes in an amp for over a year or two of regular useage. They aren't THAT expensive anymore.
You can buy a duet for less than $25 and quartets for $45.
