I'm getting a wave cab made for the Traynor 100 watt head and I'll be using vox tolex on it. I'm leaning hard toward putting two vintage 30 speakers in it because that will give me the upper midrange snarl I want and it will also give me the wattage the head calls for. I can then use the same cab for the vox head as well for practice. I think vintage 30's would work really well with that vox head as the neo-dogs seem to be really good with the 2x12. The cab can pull double duty this way.
I'm thinking of taking the cab into a guitar center once it's built and running the BBQ vox 50 watt combo amp through it. I'll bet the speaker is the weak link on that amp.
