I just got my third OD/distortion pedal and am totally hooked on different flavours of gain...I WANT MORE!!!

There is already one more I know I want and they are all expensive boutique type ones.

Tonebone Hot British, Ulbrick 12axe, and the latest addition being a T-Rex Dr. Swamp :D All different and all great...I can see myself becoming a total pedal hoarder!

Oh and I've also got a Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz but I don't use that because it's not very friendly to other pedals :foot:

I have tried just about everything Boss makes at one time or another and sold it off. Out of the bunch some of the better ones were...... OD-3, BD-2, and the discontinued Turbo Overdrive.

a pretty bare bones booster
FAB OD (how could I forget, my love?)

but I NEED a boss blues OD, a blue magic, a bsiab, and the monroe drive. and I miss my ol' super OD (good luck, wherever you are!)

and if I saw a Jeckyl and Hyde needing a ride on the street I'd give it a lift.

2 x TS-9s modded and a boss OD-3 w/ the supra mod....keeping it pretty simple but i am gonna add a blues driver with the H2O mod soon after hearing how amazingly transparent it is

I've got two TS9 reissues and a Fulltone Fulldrive, I'm only at 3...I think I'm doin good. I am thinking of picking something up for more gain. Maybe a modded DS-1 or something.

and Rocktron Rampage

...and I still think thats more than I want when hooked up at the same time

I used to have more but I got so sick of too many, especially since when all hooked up, I'd get lost in my choices and forgot to play music rather than play with my pedals.


I'm becoming rather fond of simplicity (OT: so much in fact, I fell in love with the epiphone valve jr which bares only 1 knob haha)

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE pedals and I think they are truley the key to getting great sound from cheaper amps and high end amps but too many at once strangles my mind, and music should be about freedom not stress.

And really thats Way more than I Need, being as the only one I actually ever use (other than when recording) is The Russian Bigmuff.

I don't make enough to get everything I want :) (I'm probably not alone in this)

But I do have a Zoom GFX8, multieffects unit. It'll have to do for now.

It just recently got out of control for me, and now that I'm here I'll probably add a few more. I've got a bunch of different tube preamps, so I don't really NEED more than one or two of these, but it's just so fun popping in different fizzle boxes, isn't it?

i have a bunch of them.... mostly Boss type stuff.... nothing fancy.. i don't use OD too much i use Distortions.... But when i need an OD for gooseing a preamp i use a late 80's TS10 Tube Screamer or and early 80's Tokia

A couple other homemade circuits

Funny thing is, I don't use any of them in my rig. I like the sounds I'm getting from my amp. Now, if I were using my Marshall head or a single-channel tube combo, like the Mission Aurora I so badly want, then I'd toss an OD pedal on the floor for a nice kick and dial the amp "cleaner".

Hardly out of control with what I have but if I built all the ones I breadboarded, then I'd be close to it. ;)

For now, just 2.... Barber Direct Drive and an MI Audio Crunchbox. I do see a plexitone in my future.

Looking at how much I've spent on pedals I could have easily bought an amp instead....and a very good amp at that. I finally told myself enough, it gets too expensive, work with what I have and it's down to:
