How many pedals are on your board?

Well?

I'm at 7 right now (or maybe 8... the Sun Lion is a dual pedal)

Guitar -> Wah -> Sun Lion (fuzz + treble booster) -> univibe -> OD1 -> OD2 -> Amp (FX loop -> delay -> looper w/ drum machine)

There's really nothing I feel like I need to add here. I already feel like my board could be simpler. At the same time, I see people running boards twice this size, along with rack units, so..... too each their own

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

I multi-effects, a Line 6 HX Effects and an expression pedal on the main one, and at practice I have a BYOC Compressor, SD 805 overdrive, EH Nano Stone phaser, Line 6 DL4 delay, and Guyatone tuner.

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

6 for me
Dunlop 535Q Crybaby wah
Ibanez TS9 Tubescreamer
Korg Pitchblack tuner
Rogue analog delay
Ibanez CS5 Super Chorus
Ibanez CP5 Compressor

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

8, guitar-tuner- Tumnus-Dracarys-MXR Phase 95 and in thd loop TC Electronics Chorus-TC Hall of Fame-MXR Carbon Copy Mini-EHX 360 Looper

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

I suppose I should have listed what pedals I'm talking about

Guitar -> Xotic Wah -> Analogman Sun Lion -> JHS Unicorn V2 univibe -> Chellee Odie Classic -> Fulltone OCD v1.4 -> Amp (FX loop -> EHX Memory Toy -> Joyo OMB)

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

Usually 4-7

Greer lamplighter Compressor >Archer Klon OD >Carbon Copy Mini Delay >EHX Pitch fork Octave/Shift >Strymon Flint Trem Reverb

Sometimes use Xotic EP-3 Boost at the end of chain and MXR Custom Badass Distortion at the front depending on the Amp and Venue size.

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

I play in the cat/music room, in the garage, & out on the plains once in a while. All I have is a pos vox stomplab.

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

i Have a photo from 2015 of a 77 style punk band playing in a little LA club and the guitarist had the biggest pedal board I've ever seen -almost 4 ft wide 4-5 pedals deep -and I didn't see him use but 3-4 of the pedals the entire show.

I wonder if he was just f*cking with us.

Life is an illusion

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

I've got quite a few.....but I have a 6 amp-in-parallel rig which is a clean-platform type setup. So a few of these just relate to getting signal to all amps. Plus a couple of them have loops - so I can run a few different time based effects which swirl in stereo between amps.

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

two-

Tc. electronics "3rd dimension" chorus, and Joyo "nascar" analog delay.

(I'm about to order some patch cables, so that I can run the delay in the effects loop).

:)

I'd like to have a volume pedal as well;
and a "chrunch" type distortion, to get a crunchy, differnet sound over the clean channel.

A forum bro told me, he has sent me a Joyo "Maximum Drive" (i think it was?) :o I'm really excited about this :).

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

5 pedals,HX Stomp 4CM used for FX only and dual amp switch is on the board. The TS7 is a JRC4558D chip model and I did the 560 ohm resistor correction to the Brownie to get it to vintage Rat specs. I'm still thinking of getting the Mission engineering Helix expression pedal for the Stomp. Small board but sounds excellent and does every single thing I need.

Guitar>HX Stomp>Ibanez TS7/TS9>GFS Brownie Classic (Rat/Turbo Rat clone)>Amp

Amp Loop Send>MXR Micro Chorus>MXR Micro Flanger>Ibanez DE7>HX Stomp>Amp Loop Return

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

On my main board which is now disassembled I had some staples and some variables plus add-ons.

Always:
Fuzz (various Fuzz Face/FF style/Velvet Fuzz)
Compressor
Overdrive (FD2)
Phaser (Phase 90)
Chorus for cleans and fast Leslie style (Voodoo Lab)
Distortion (Wampler Pinnacle)
Delay (Catalinbread Belle Epoch)

Depending on what we were playing I might add a wah and/or a vibe on the floor in front and I might add a flanger on the end for whooshy, tape flanging style over the top song ending.

This gets me everything from spanky clean, fuzz, subtle and bluesy OD, classic rock distortion and heavy distortion (OD boosting Distortion). I turned the Belle Epoch preamp on 100% so there isn’t such a jarring difference between echo and no echo. It’s funny how similar phaser and vibe are, but I’d always want to use vibe for Jimi, Trower, Gilmour, etc. even though for the most part the Phase 90 could probably do it...

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

I've been trying to cut down the pedals on my board for the last few months. At the moment it's down to:

Phaser
Fuzz
OD
Compressor
Flanger
Delay

I run a tuner off the stereo out from my delay pedal, so its not in the signal path. This is the bare minimum of pedals I can happily get away with, and it's always a fight when deciding if I want to add just one more (which depending on mood is either wah, envelope filter, or tremolo).

Re: How many pedals are on your board?

i have three boards setup right now, originally for different projects, but they work so well ive kept them together even if the project has ended or is on hiatus

1 - analogman sunface ->catalinbread dls mk2 -> duncan vapor trail
2 - duncan vise grip -> mxr phase 90 -> modded vox valvetone -> way huge green rhino -> duncan deja vu
3 - fulltone mas malo -> duncan killing floor -> barber ltd -> mxr carbon copy -> radial twin cities aby

the first board is battery powered since the sunface sounds best that way. there is a theme across all of em, dirt and delay. #3 has the aby for use with both channels of my old deluxe reverb (normal channel heavily modded) or run two amps. the #2 has modulation with the phase 90 and there are some fun tricks you can do with the deja vu with the delay time set to zero and the modulation turned up, faux leslie and chorus sounds passable for stage. both have five pedals since thats what the one spot daisy chain handles (yes i know there is an eight spot one, i have one, but i dont need more than five)

my "big" board is pulled bare at the moment other than the voodoo labs power supply waiting for me to put it back together but since theres no gigs, let alone original rock trio gigs, theres little urgency to put it together.
