Re: how much would you drop for a older big box fulltone 70
I regret selling my old low serial number 69 pedal. I remember when buying it, I A/B'd the 69 and 70, and the 69 sounded better.
Now that they've got both versions in the compact enclosure, the prices of the big box ones have dropped a bit. I usually see the 70 for around $150 and the 69 for $300 - $400. With all the great fuzz pedals out there, I think it's silly.
Now that I've got the Dunlop Jimi silicon FF and Bonamassa Germanium FF, I need to do a tone test and see how they compare. I'm also thinking of springing for the Eric Johnson FF, just so I've got all three as a mini collection.
Unfortunately, my recording setup is in storage for awhile, so I can't record clips. I'm planning on selling it all and getting a simpler computer recording setup. Too bad 90's recording gear didn't appreciate in value like the rest of the gear did. dammit
