How much would you pay for a used Mark 4 head short head w/ a 1x12 cab?
They have one at sam ash and I'm considering getting it. I'm confident that I could heckle them down on the price, but if that is what you wanted would you go for it?

I think you mean "haggle," not "heckle."

A used Mark IV short head could be had on the 'bay for around $800, I think. Try to get them down at least that far.

What is the price they have listed? A used Mark IV in good condition is generally way over $800. You would have to fork out at least $1200-1500 on ebay.

Whoops. Sorry. I just watched one sell a few weeks ago for around $800, but I didn't watch it closely and it may have had issues I wasn't aware of.

I got a mark IV short head in pristine condition for 1000 a few weeks ago. FWIW.

With a large retailer, "heckle" might be the appropriate usage.

I'm gonna see if I can buy just the head from them and then buy a cab later from ebay or something. That'd help me out a lot.
they're selling it for $1699 used.

You should definately bring them down a bunch outta that. You could get a brand new one for $1850 so remind them of that!

thats what i am gonna do. Put a downpayment of like 600 or 700 and work w/ them, if they don't lower it then I'll just take my money back.
