Re: How to avoid 'slinky' strings?
Moving slowly, but have made some progress... One of my strats became less slinky with simply a brand change (before this, I thought wire was wire).
Action seems cruicial on another... Seems like practically every recommendation made in this thread has some impact or another.
The trick seems to be figuring out the right combination for each guitar.
I've always done my own setups but wonder if techs and luthiers get questions about this very often...
