How to cleanse oxidized input/output jack contacts?

Ok I'll admit up front that this isn't a strictly pedal related question, but I know some of you guys must of had this issue with a pedal once or twice. The output jack on my phone is starting to act weird in the one ear and I'm guessing the contact has oxidized over the years. I was wondering if any of you guys have any DIY chemical solutions that could fix the issue.

I've heard isopropyl alcohol can fix the issue as well as contact cleanser, but I don't have either of those on hand and I won't be able to head to town to buy some for a few days. Vinegar mixed with baking soda works for removing rust, but I don't know how well that would translate into cleaning the small components on a phone. Any suggestions?

Your best bet is a no-residue contact cleaner. I had to brush aside a good number of residue-leaving sprays before I found the right one.
