I have researched, but still: any helpful tips on drilling for a vintage-style Strat bridge? My present plan of attack (subject to alteration based on feedback...)
-Measure position of six holes carefully upon determination of body centerline and necessary distance from trem route; mark hole locations
-Use a punch to be totally sure my drill press won't wander
-Drill pilot holes with drill press; progress to correct-sized bit to finish it off
Or... Am I better off using a jig, or using any other means to ensure I don't **** it up? The body is Paulownia (soft) so I'd rather not have to try again in the swiss cheese I create...
