How to fit new Hot Rails in EMG-type routing??

Hi,

I tried to fit a new style Hot Rails in a EMG-style routing. This is a shape without the V (or lip) of a regular strat routing.
Does anyone have a clue how to do this?

I don't quite understand..can you post some pics?
But if the hole is too small or not the right shape you can allways rout more, it if it too big you can make a "mini pickguard" with plexyglass for example just for that pick up.

You must have the older style hot rails. I has been dicussed before but, I dont remember exactly how it was done. I am fairly certain the pickup is modified to get it done. Maybe someone will chime in with details.

The older style rails will fit perfectly in the described routs if you carefully file or dremel the lip off and thereby free the cables so you can route them under the PU.

The new style ones will drop into an EMG / Ontario Jackson SC rout without issues.

If you´d prefer to have the lip professionally removed instead of risking it yourself, I´m in Germany and can offer more than a decade of experience. It would only be a small fee, as it´s not rocket science zerbeguitars@gmx.net ;)
