Get a vintage output bridge humbucker and try mounting it to the wood instead of using the mounting ring. That seems to roll off some highs in the bridge. I did not like doing that in the neck but it was pretty decent in the bridge. Some say there's no difference in body mount vs ring mount...I KNOW that there is. I prefer ring mount because I like treble but if you want some LP body "ummph" try mounting a low output bridge p'up to the body. My 2 cents.
