HOW to install a Concentric POT?

Fu**ing Hails Guys
i have a concentric pot, that i got from a non succefully trade with Dallastcaffeine and i am planning to install it in my charvel fusion deluxe.

i have seymour duncan custom custom normal spaced(yah, it´s floyd rose and i use a normal spaced pup. is there anyone that wanna trade it for a trembucker CC? ) in the bridge and im almost sure i´ll get my hot rails neck VERY SOON.... so ... i really like the sound of the CC in the bridge.
and i´m willing how the HOT RAILS will sound in the neck.
if i like it(note, my charvel fuson deluxe has only 1 pot), i don´t know how it will sound if i replace the original POT for a concentric pot(2 pots in one unit. 2 500k pot) .

i really heard people talking about swap their 500k pots to a 250k to DARKEN their sound or tame the Brighness. A CLASSICAL example you people do is to swap the JB bridge pot(500k) to a 250k when you have a very brighty wood guitar or something like that ....
but what i really want to know is ....
HOW bright or how dark my sound will turn if i change the original 1 pot from my charvel to a 2x1 concentric pot.??
will it brighten my tone or will it darken my tone?
my charvel is maple 24 frets neck, rosewood fingerboard and poplar body.

Hey JP; I think you may have a misconception about a concentric pot. Its nothing more than two pots mounted on top of each other, rather than side-by-side. It will have no effect on the sound of your guitar per se.

The only thing that matters is whether or not they're 250k or 500k. Its no different than having two pots mounted beside each other, ala Strat, as far as electrically go.

but . i think there´s a difference between have just 1 simple pot 500k, and for an exaple 2 pots , 500k each one.
will the sound of my guitar change? get more open, more brighty, more middy?

Its gonna depend. If you have a guitar with only one volume control, and you change it to two vol's, then it will have some impact on the sound. Partly this will be because of the way you have to wire twin volume controls.

Just study some of the SD schematics for how its done. Look at ones that have dual volume controls.

the question is....
i´ll put that concentric pot for 1 tone, 1 volume pot. both 500k.
how the cc bridge will sound if i replace the only pot(that i do not know if it is for volume or for tone only. i guess it is for volume only) for the concentric one with volume/tone configs?

Ok, I see what you're saying. If you add a tone control and there wasn't one before, you'll tend to roll-off some high end. So I guess, you'ld "darken" the tone a bit. If the first volume was a 250k, and you change to a 500k, you'ld brighten the tone a bit. So, if you do both at once, you'ld gain some treble, and lose a little. Maybe they'ld even each other out.

(They wouldn't exactly, but it could be close.)
