I just bought the Babica TOM/tailpiece . I like it a lot,but the big "babicz" logo on the tailpiece is making me cringe.
is there a way to remove it?

Having never seen it I have to ask is it etched into the chrome? Could be a chemical etch or laser. If printed logo then probably removable.

Possibly use some chrome polish, but I'd test it on the underside first to see if it scratches it up.

if its paint
acetone ( fingernail polish remover ) should wipe it right off

I have heard that they etch their logo. Not sure why you bought if the logo bothers you so much.

I've been interested in this bridge for a while and have read several times that the logo is etched, so you'll likely have to deal with it, cover it up or swap it for a stock tailpiece (turns out many do).

By the way, what do you like about it compared to the stock unit? Any major change in tone or sustain? Are palm mutes any more difficult with the deeper grooves at the saddles?

It is permanent as far as the one been on my guitar for 5 or 6 years , got a bunch of them. You could just put the old tailpiece back on it dude or get over it , you are inventing an issue in your head.

They would be for me. I picked up a few Ibanez ARTs and SZs (LP style and PRS style) that had a bridge that was similar to those and really felt the difference with palm muting.

I am not sure if they are etched. My silver Babicz have that etched look to them. My black Babicz looks screened. I think it is the paint on the silver doing a good job of mimicking etching. As said earlier I would try polishing it with a little vigor with a light compound or metal polish. If it is etched nothing will happen to it. If it is screened as I expect the paint will start to come off. At that point you can get a bit more aggressive with your removal techniques - acetone or stripper. I would suggest taking the Babicz off the guitar to do this so no stripper drips on the axe.

masta'c the Babicz increases the resonance of a guitar , it sings acoustically which in my opinion makes it better with power. No issue with string muting or any other technique , it is new and different takes a minute to get used to playing. The really best part part about them is how they are a set and forget item , you can adjust the string height , intonation and then lock it in place forever. Want that perfect radius just use a understring radius gauge or make one out of a piece of cardboard . Can't stop saying how much I love all of them I have installed (7 now). Not sure what you mean by deeper grooves at the saddles , it is a cam that rotates and puts the string where you want it to be. Best improvement on any guitar I can think of just waiting for some saddles for a Floyd now. Jeff told me he was working on a wraparound and it might be out this year(would save me a fill and redrill TOM install.)

Try WD40. It is a great cleaner. Put it on a cotton cloth and see what happens. It will usually remove adhesive from stickers and stuff like that. If thats not strong enough then a mild to medium scratch remover will work, but it will take some time. You could start out with chrom polish, then go to a medium scratch remover, then a fine scratch remover. Just take your time........ or...... **** it and leave it alone!!

Re: how to remove logo of my Babicz tailpiece ?

No chance. Those logos are ON THERE. Just replace the tailpiece.

I e-mailed them once asking to custom order a Strat one without a logo on it, but I never heard back. I'd never put a big aftermarket brand name like that on my guitar. It's hideous and classless. Even the one on my Bladerunner annoys me, and it is fairly well hidden.
