How to remove the SD logo ??? help

Re: How to remove the SD logo ??? help

Toothpaste or Brasso (metal pokish), toothbrush, elbow grease, 15 minutes time ;)

Re: How to remove the SD logo ??? help

Also, the little polishing wheel on a Dremel Moto-tool will take it off instantly. :yell:

Re: How to remove the SD logo ??? help

I took the logo off a Custom using Brasso metal polish and a soft cloth. Just rub it away. Works fine.

Re: How to remove the SD logo ??? help

Brasso's what I use. Cleans and shines up the pickup real nice too! Works fast. Lew

Re: How to remove the SD logo ??? help

Why would you want to take the logo off? Wear it proud, man!!!!!

Yeah man... this is why I buy a Seymour Duncan Pickup... so I've got my Pickup saying Seymour Duncan and everyone knows I've got a sound machine ;)
Nah... but really... when I see a Guitar with a Seymour Duncan in it I'd expect this player to have at least a little bit of understanding in tone...
whatev...

me must be a LOGO MAN!:laugh2:

Re: How to remove the SD logo ??? help

Nail polish remover works too, you just have to let it soak into the logo for a minute or two and break out the elbow grease.

Re: How to remove the SD logo ??? help

It's not that I'm ashamed or anythin' just thought it would look odd with the 59 in the neck which don't have a logo. And also, I wanted it to be reminecent in appearance to a late 50's gibsons with the PAF pickup covers removed,...

Although,.....(heh) I do wish some more Dimarzio models had the logo

[stands back for a pelting...but grins inside]

all in good, clean, healthy fun folks

THANK YOU GUYS A LOT FOR THE INFO THOUGH

This question gets asked every 5-6 months and everytime people do the "Why would you remove the pickup logo ... that's stupid" responce

Personally I'm not really a fan of the Logo on guitars that are geared towards a Vintage look ... kind of ruins it. So I'm with ya on that one. The only reason the logo is still on the Full Shred (a little worn spot tho) is that it looks too close to a Dimarzio ... and I don't want people thinking I play those :laugh2:

As long as the tone is there 'tis cool. Plus ... how many non guitarists in the audience would notice a difference :)

I can see removing the logo for the "vintage look" purpose....
