Hi I have a 2001 Gibson LP standard with Gibson HBs.
the bridge has 13.3 Kohm DC
the neck has 8,4 k DC resistance
Nickel covered-
Which pickups are these and how can I tell which one ...
did not put them out yet.
Thanks

I can tell you one thing for sure, they're definitely not '57 Classics. Too hot in both spots.

They are most likely a 490R (neck) and 498T (bridge) set. IIRC, those were what came stock in them then before the Burstbucker Pros came out in 2002.

+1. 498T/490R. Do you like their tones? If not, for a few dollars swapping magnets will change their sound. I put an A5 in my 490R's, and that really opens them up & takes away any mud. I like an A4 or A8 in my 498T's, to fill in the mids for a warm, rich tone.

Hi guys you are great, I did not have a chance to like them not as I got the guitar today.
I have a pair PGn / SH1B in spare. BTW Serno. 01021416

So what mag's are in the 490er R other then A5 -
and the bridge A5,too ?

What relatives the issue is the fact
that we are shocked in Germany and Alabama by the Amokrunner today in the school/family.
But who claims and cryes on the other hand for the 1000s of children killed by hunger today?

The 490R has an A2

The 498T has an A5

I like my pair the way they are in an SG, but an SG is a different guitar than an LP.

+1. In a fat-bodied LP, the neck 490 may or may not have the clarity & definition you want. A brighter magnet (A3, A4, or A5) will clean that up if need be.

OK guys this is clear to see.
The 490N is muddy and dull - it misses the character as a SH55 or SH1 and a "sparkle".
next step: PGN in!
next then Bridge SH-1 B

many thanks
