How to wire a pickup to the output jack?

Hi,

I just bought a Jazz humbucker to put into my guitar I'm building. I'd like to solder it right to the output jack. There's no volume/switches/tone. Just pickup to output.

What is the output wire on this pickup? Is the plain silver wire the only one I need to ground?

black to hot lug, red and white tapped off and together, green to gnd lug and grounded with bare

Dig down in the bottom of the box your pickup came in and look at the wiring diagram. But the red and white wires need to be soldered together, which for some reason it doesn't say to do...

So to recap: BLACK is output wire, GREEN AND PLAIN SILVER wire are grounds, and red and white need to be soldered together and insulated by tape or heat-shrink tubing.
