How to wire separate caps for neck and bridge in a one volume one tone setup

:banghead:I was wondering if some of the members have any ideas on how to wire individual tone caps for a two humbucker, one volume and one tone control guitar? ( ESP LTD 100 Qmnt)
I have taken on the project of trying to help a buddy out. Taking his first guitar and restoring it as well as improving the tone of the guitar. So IDEAS?
He know its just a beginners piece, but it was the first one he had saved money up for as a Kid.
Pickups Ideas ( he is in to Metal Dark tone)
Input on caps size idea's would be kool to Esp Ltd Mh100 Qmnt

There is a way to do it, but it would require changing the 3-way toggle to an on-on-on DPDT toggle. The handle would look slightly different, but not too out of whack.

I'll draw it up tomorrow. Just heading for bed.

How about a dual concentric pot? Then your friend could have complete tone control over both pickups at any given time (with two different caps, of course) and you wouldn't have to drill any new holes.

Hey thanks they both sound good.
I think the dual pot sound great! I go and look for a wiring diagram.
Anyone else have any idea's about pickups?

Another way to get two tone capacitors with with a push pull potentiometer. With a push pull, the two center lugs are the common point, they connect with with two lugs closest to the potentiometer when the push/pull is pulled up, and connect to the two lugs furthest from the potentiometer when pushed down. So you can imagine that instead of connecting the tone potentiometer to a capacitor, and then to ground, you'd connect the tone potentiometer to the center lugs of the push pull, and then connect your two capacitors to the upper and lower lugs, then both capacitors to ground. This way when you pull up you get one capacitor, and when you push down you get another.
