How well do JB and '59 suit each other?

Yikes! I wouldn't want to drill holes into flamed maple. Get a different guitar for that.

Other ideas? Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead has a circuit cut button that allows him to stutter notes. Press the button and it's turns off all pickups; release it and they're back on. That would involve drilling, too.

I'm also quite set on only two controls on the surface, but I just thought of putting the controls in the control cavity. If there's enough room, one could change the sound from behind the guitar. It wouldn't work in a hurry, but it could be of some use.

That Radiohead mod sounds quite interesting, but I'm not sure if I'd have that much use for it to make it worthwhile, more than a curiosity for a couple of songs.

Something extra could be nice, but I hope that I don't forget that the guitar already comes with volume and tone, and they can shape the sound quite a lot! We'll see what I'll come up with. Thanks for your thoughts, I really appreciate them, keep 'em coming if you have more!

Johtosotku,

What did you end up doing with your axe? Any mods?

- Keith

Well, I tried to buy the axe but the finnish importer stopped importing Framus products and I couldn't order it from anywhere here. I didn't want to order it from Germany with all the hazards so I decided to wait until they get some other company bringing them in, and buy it then. So the project is on ice now. I'll let you know if it melts anytime soon!
