I just played a G&L Bluesboy with the '55 Seth Lover neck pickup and G&L's MFD bridge pickup and was amazed at the range of tones that come out of that instrument. Wonderfully smooth neck sounds to nasty bridge sounds. I left the store wondering why I had never considered this combination before.
It also left me wondering, how well does a Seth split? I know that Seths are typically 2 wire, but can be ordered for 4 wire. Would it be effective for creating more traditional single coil neck tones? I'm wondering how a bluesboy would be with a 5 way switch.
