How would I pack a quadbox for shipping?

Just looking for easy suggestions on how to pack a quadbox for interstate shipping via truck...I'm not actually doing it but I'm looking for suggestions to give to the person I'm buying it off.

Just thought people would have experience with this...even if you've received quadboxes, how were they packed?

Cheers :D

Open bed pickup truck?

What kind of terrain will it be travelling across?

How far is it from you? Are you able to pick it up?

I'm guessing, at a minimum, wrapped in bubble wrap & boxed...lay it speaker side/front down. Something will probably be needed to tie it down so it doesn't slide around.

What did ya' get??? :D

Got me a Marshall cab retolexed and with bluesbreaker grill, with original 75hz blackback g12h30's in it :D There was another thread about it somewhere.

It's going with a courier company so I'm thinking it would be in a closed truck and probably not over any rough terrain, I wouldn't actually think it would need much packing but maybe bubblewrap would be a good idea with a box, then just lie it down I guess. Hmm cheers, I'll see what he thinks of that.

I've shipped a bunch of 412s. I box them with 1.5" insulation styrofoam, then cardboard around that. Orientation doesn't matter much since you can't count on couriers paying any attention to that (unless you're strapping it to a skid).

A buddy uses those foam swimming 'noodles', which is a great idea as they're a lot cheaper than insulation foam.
