How would you wire this ?

I'm planning to upgrade my Tele with a set of Duncans : STHR-1B for the Bridge and APTR-1 for the Neck.

I would like to get rid of the Tone Pot and replace it with an On-On-On switch set like this : series/split/parallel (it'll give me the choice between a standard humbucker, a single coil, and the two coils wired in parallel).

Since there's no qualified tech around town, can you please help me fulfill this wiring diagram so i can do this by my own ?
Ps : i'm using a 3 way toggle switch

Re: How would you wire this ?

Is your DP3T switch American, British or Japanese? (Sometimes, the pattern of contacts selected in the middle position varies.)

Everything else looks correct.

I cannot recall the respective magnetic polarity of your two chosen pickups. This would affect which coil of the Hot Rails should remain operational in Split mode.

Looks MIJ to me. If you have a multimeter, test which contacts are bridged when the switch is in the middle position.

I am logged in via a smartphone. On my screen, the writing stamped into the metal sides of the switch is barely discernible.

I'm pretty sure it's japanese. Does it change something wiring-wise ? (And thank you so much for your feedbacks ! it's helpful)

Re: How would you wire this ?

Official SD schematic diagrams assume the use of C&K switches. If your SE Asian switch engages the internal contacts differently, the interconnection of the two coils in the STHR-1b will not work properly in at least one position.

For the time being, follow your own diagram. See how things turn out. If you get a phase reversal problem, there are two ways to solve it.

I hope that it earns me one of those freebies that Scott Olson posted about last week. :nana:
