I got a chance to run it through an F-50 today.
Pickups def sound a bit....hmm..dark? on the gain channel w/out the contour kicked in (which I use most of the time, i.e. rhythm/riffing). They are not muddy at all, just lack highs.
I may have to change them , as I prefer to nail my rhythm sound, and then kick in the contour for leads (since it adds gain and presence, it cuts through better anyway). If I just tweak the contour boosted signal to where they sound good for "crunch", then either I won't have a lead/boost sound, or I have to stick with a very dark rhythm tone to utilize contour for leads (of course I guess I could just tweak contour as my crunch tone then run a pedal as a boost for leads, but....)
...anyone swap the pups in their wolfgang for some duncans?
