HSH 5 way switch

Hey everyone.
Im trying something apparently unique as I've found no wiring scheme anywhere on the web. HSH 5 way switch, single tone, single volume. here comes the tricky part. I want to be able to get my Buckers on at the same time in some position. I was thinking as follows.

1-N
2-N,M
3-M
4-N,B
5-B

will this work?

Re: HSH 5 way switch

You can get that configuration, but I think you will need a super 5-way switch. With a standard 5-way you will always get the middle pup in position 2, 3, & 4 (actually, I think you numbered the positions in reverse...position #1=bridge pup, #5=neck pup).

Or you can use an import switch with 6 terminals. Or use the standard blade sw with an additional toggle or p/p.

Re: HSH 5 way switch

Yeah, I would think a Super Switch is needed for this. It is a cool combination, though.

Re: HSH 5 way switch

What is your single in the middle? Is it stacked or a true single? (If it is a true single and you are using a Super Switch anyway, you could do some splits to achieve additional tones) If it's a stack or mini humbucker, then never mind. ;)

Good idea. It might be nice to split the neck when it is combined with the middle single. Maybe you could get a little quack in that position. That would give you some pretty awesome tonal variety.

Re: HSH 5 way switch

Maybe even add a mini toggle to allow an out of phase option when the neck and bridge are combined.
